Oooo sounds like your first new car? My first car was a civic also ^^. so anway did you try reading the car manual? it will explain what it does. In my car for example: I can lock the car by pressing the mileage reset button 7 times and then starting my car. (located near the speedometer). Even if you have my key, you wont be able to start my car :p





Theres also Remote power locks; Remote control peripheral anti-theft protection; Immobilizer. Which just sounds like a alarm disarmming and arming device.
