Hard to say, with "close tolerance" motors you run the risk of valve damage from them of being struck by the pistons.

Some manufactures have thought ahead and allowed enough clearance so that it won't happen. Either way you'll end up stranded.

The average life span of a timing belt is 60K so I would make plans to get it replaced. In your place I wouldn't take any chances.

A broken timing belt could be catastrophic. If it breaks while the engine is running, it can break the valves, damage the cylinder head, damage the pistons/connecting rods, the block and the crankshaft. Better have it changed at the correct mileage.
