i have a 1994 dodge ram 1500 with the 318, (5.2L), and i dont have the owners manual and the engine specs in the engine are scratched off, i need to know the sparkplug gap measurements, i believe its 0.40 but im not positive

check a couple of the old ones and the new ones are pre set so you can guess and yes 40 is pretty much standard and you could call a parts store or look it up

I found this on the autozone website: .035 (In thousandths of an inch) Or you could just buy platinum plugs that will already be pre-gapped. You cannot adjust the gap on these plugs.
