saw it for sale. will be going to college that's a 2 hour drive and figure this is a decent car for that. 93,000 miles, a/c doesn't work, automatic and power stuff, and asking $4,500 (slightly over book value).
i see all the prizm's are recommended to buy in the consumer report. any advice or experience with one?

If your knees are sore and you have really long legs, I wouldn't buy it, but if you don't care, and just are buying it for MPG's, do it!

Reply:The prizm is one of Chevy's true success stories.The prizm is well built and runs great.The 2001 with its 1.8 liter 125 HP engine last a long time and holds a good crash rating.This prizm has a 13.2 gallon fuel tank and is rated over 30 MPG on the highway.It would be hard to find a more reliable car.My service manager drives a prizm to work everyday that has over 240.000 mlies so far.He said its the best car he has ever owned.Best of luck.
