Its a good car for a teen, if that is what you are. They are not very spacious, only have two doors, and the gas mileage isn't that great. But for a first car, or first new car for a teen they fit the bill.

Black is a good color they come in. The lighter colors don't look so good on them.
Reply:if you like it than go for it. any color you want.
Reply:this "wild" guy 2 answers above me is clueless.. he has obviously no clue what he is talking about... not good on gas? i have a 05 silver streak tc which gets a good 28mpg city...and lighter colors dont look good??? this guy is out of his mind....my silver tc is agreeably the sickest tc in westchester county, ny....silver tc with the factory body kit and the black panorama roof is a sick combo....customization possibilities are endless- if you can dream an accessory you can have it on the tc...get the car... get it in silver... you wont be disappointed-trust me...

I agree with jaques. Scion tC is rated around 28-30 mpg. There are not many cars with that fuel efficiency unless you go with compact sedan like Corolla, Civic, etc.

Budget-wise it's one of the less expensive sport sedans out there. It is also 100% made in Japan so they are built with quality in mind. Additionally, tC are designed to be upgradeable so you can add more stuff to it in the future when your budget allows it.

Scion tC was introduced in 2005 and targeted at 20-something people, college students, college grads, people new into the workforce but have tight budget, etc. However, I've seen a variety of people driving around in a tC so the demographics doesn't mean anything, you should get what feels right for you.

I own an 06 Black Sand Pearl tC and it's an awesome color, especially the way it shines in the sun. White one are cool also. It's a subtlely aggressive car, definitely not ricey like some sports cars. It's also significantly more roomy than my previous Corolla, so I don't understand why people complain about interior room - it's a coupe/hatchback, if you want more room then get a sedan.

Anyways, if you like subtlety, concerned about budget (both purchase and gas), want a daily driver that can act (not just look) like a sports car, and expect to tweak the car to your personality, then yeah go for it!
